Urgent obstetrical care, sick-animal assessment and field surgery for beef cattle when on-farm treatment is appropriate, with emergency support for established clients.

Call when a cow or heifer has made no progress after active labour, presentation appears abnormal, the water bag has been visible without delivery, the dam is exhausted, or a calf is in distress. Also call for severe bloat, injury, bleeding, inability to rise or sudden serious illness.

We triage by phone and may ask about labour timing, presentation, facilities and assistance already attempted. On farm we assess the dam and calf, explain options and prognosis, and proceed with assisted delivery, surgery, treatment, referral or humane euthanasia as indicated.
