Service overview

Start with the question.
Build the right next step.

Every farm, animal and situation is different. These sections provide a useful starting point; the veterinarian will tailor recommendations to the case in front of us.

01What this service covers

Clinical examination and treatment of an individual sheep or goat that is sick, injured, losing condition, off feed or otherwise abnormal, while considering whether the problem may affect the wider group.

02When to contact us

Call for depression, isolation, reduced appetite, abnormal breathing, diarrhea, neurologic signs, marked lameness, swelling, weight loss, urinary straining or failure of a newborn to nurse. Rapid deterioration warrants an urgent call.

03What to expect

We take a focused history, examine the animal and assess likely individual and flock-level causes. Samples, treatment, isolation, withdrawal guidance, flock investigation, referral or humane euthanasia may be discussed depending on the findings.
