01What this service covers
Individual assessment and herd-level review from the close-up period through early lactation. The work may involve fresh-cow examinations, calving and postpartum disease patterns, body condition, appetite and rumen fill, housing, stocking pressure, feed access and transition protocols.
02When to contact us
Call for a fresh cow that is off feed, dull, fevered, ketotic, lame, not milking as expected or recovering poorly after calving. A group review is useful when retained placentas, metritis, milk fever, displaced abomasum, ketosis or early-lactation removals are becoming a pattern.
03What to expect
We start with recent fresh-cow events and the affected animals, then look upstream at dry-cow and close-up management. Recommendations are prioritized around the most likely and most changeable risks, with follow-up measures chosen to show whether the plan is working.
