01What this service covers
Health planning and problem solving from birth through the replacement period, including colostrum delivery, navel care, nutrition, housing and ventilation, scours, respiratory disease, vaccination, growth and treatment protocols.
02When to contact us
Contact us for a calf that is weak, dehydrated, scouring, coughing, breathing abnormally, fevered or slow to drink. A group investigation is warranted when illness, treatment, mortality or poor growth is recurring in a pen or age group.
03What to expect
We assess affected calves and review timing, age patterns and management around them. Depending on the question, the visit may include clinical examinations, targeted samples or lung ultrasound, followed by clear treatment criteria and prevention changes for the group.
