01What this service covers
Portable digital X-rays acquired on farm to examine bone, joints and selected areas such as the foot, limb, skull or teeth. Radiographs are most useful when the clinical examination has identified the region and the required views.
02When to contact us
Radiography may be recommended after injury, swelling, localized pain or lameness, for dental or hoof concerns, or as part of a defined purchase examination. Call urgently when fracture is suspected and limit movement until advised.
03What to expect
We assess the horse and choose views that answer the clinical question, prepare and position the area, acquire images and review their quality on site. Sedation, hoof preparation, additional views, specialist interpretation or referral may be advised; X-rays do not show every soft-tissue injury.
